Wiltshire Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 

Temporary Closure of: Various Roads, Various Parishes (Ref: TTRO 8990) 

 Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: 

 Phase 1: B4122 (Part), Kington Langley; from its roundabout junction with A350 to its roundabout junction with Clanville Way. 

Phase 2: A429 (Part), Stanton St Quintin; from its roundabout junction with A350 to its junction with C166. 

Phase 3: A350 (Part) Northbound, Kington Langley, Kington St Michael, Langley Burrell Without and Chippenham; from its roundabout junction with B4122 to its roundabout junction with B4158. 

Phase 4: M4 Junction 17, Stanton St Quintin; M4 Junction 17 entrance slip way to its junction with A350. 

To enable: MJ Church to carry out M4 J17 roundabout resurfacing/lining works. 

Alternative routes: 

 Phase 1 and 4: via B4122 (unaffected length) – B4069 – Kilverts Way – A350 and vice versa. 

Phase 3 and 4: via A350 (unaffected length) – A420 – A4 – A3102 – M4 and vice versa. 

Phase 2 Northbound: via A350 – A420 – A4 – A3102 – B4042 – A429 (unaffected length) and vice versa. 

Phase 2 Southbound: via A429 (unaffected length) – B4042 – A3102 – A4 – A420 – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. 

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. 

 This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2023 and the closures will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 until 21 October 2023. 

It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. 

Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. 

The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
